Applications for New Awards; Technical Assistance and Dissemination To Improve Services and Results for Children With Disabilities-Model Demonstration Projects To Improve Algebraic Reasoning for Students With Disabilities in Middle and High School

Purpose of Program: The purpose of the Technical Assistance and Dissemination to Improve Services and Results for Children with Disabilities program is to promote academic achievement and to improve results for children with disabilities by providing technical assistance (TA), supporting model demonstration projects, disseminating useful information, and implementing activities that are supported by scientifically based research.

Type of Award: Cooperative agreements.

Estimated Available Funds: The Further Continuing and Security Assistance Appropriations Act, 2017, would provide $54,345,000 for the Technical Assistance and Dissemination To Improve Services and Results for Children With Disabilities program for FY 2017, of which we intend to use an estimated $1,200,000 for this competition (per year divided between the three new projects).

Estimated Range of Awards: $375,000 to $400,000 per year.
Estimated Average Size of Awards: $400,000 per year.
Estimated Number of Awards: 3.

Purpose of Program: The purpose of the Technical Assistance and Dissemination to Improve Services and Results for Children with Disabilities program is to promote academic achievement and to improve results for children with disabilities by providing technical assistance (TA), supporting model demonstration projects, disseminating useful information, and implementing activities that are supported by scientifically based research.

Estimated Available Funds: The Administration has requested $54,345,000 for the Technical Assistance and Dissemination to Improve Services and Results for Children With Disabilities program for FY 2017, of which we intend to use an estimated $1,100,000 for this competition.

Estimated Number of Awards: 1.

When we change education to discover, develop and direct the gifts and talents of all children towards becoming knowledgeable, actively engaged citizens, we will be able to promote the academic achievement and improve results for all children by providing the technical assistance every child deserves without being classified as disabled.
