Poverty, Politics And Job Preservation

“We have established a system where those who are poor are more likely to stay poor, and lately we have seen a sharp increase in those considered poor. In fact, a recent research bulletin from the Southern Education Foundation highlights that, as of this year, the majority of public school children come from poverty.” (The Huffington Post, 2015)

According to the National Center for Charitable Statistics, more than 1.5 million nonprofit organizations are registered in the U.S. (GRANTSPACE)

“Statistics from 2008 used in a 2010 analysis by Charity Navigator indicate that charities dealing with education paid their CEOs the most, with a median salary of $272,645.” (Chron)

“Pearson, the world’s largest curriculum and testing company, has gotten millions from the federal government and its proxies to write and deliver portions of Common Core tests. And it’s set to have ongoing revenue from its role in these tests: “Pearson will earn a minimum of $138 million in the first year” of Common Core testing. That’s 2015. Pearson will also make millions from selling Common Core curriculum . . .” (The Federalist)

With 1.5 million non-profit organizations, why is poverty increasing?

Why is education failing while CEO’s of charities dealing with education receive a median salary of $272,645?

Why is the federal government spending valuable education dollars supporting the profits of publishing companies instead of on the education of children?

Because the “hedgehogs” are making money hand over fist from the enslavement of our children to the conditions of poverty.

They have convinced the American public that earning $15.00 an hour working at a fast food restaurant or a superstore is an acceptable wage and a college career is useless since there are no jobs available.

When we provide every child with a developmentally appropriate, Arts based, experiential education that concentrates on discovering, developing and directing the individual gifts and talents that all children possess, towards becoming knowledgeable, actively engaged citizens, we will put an end to the slavery of poverty, the class system in America, and the ignorance that keeps the “hedgehogs” in control of our government.

Ignorance is bliss only for those who profit from it.
