Costly Ineffectiveness

There are 74.2 million children under the age of eighteen in the United States.

The federal education budget for 2016 is $73 billion dollars.

This means that if the United States concentrated the tax dollars collected to fund education on actually educating our children first, each child would receive $9,838,274.93 towards their education.

This is just the federal education budget and does not include the state taxes collected or the state lottery money that supposedly funds education.

Where, on what, and by whom is all this money being spent?

Our system of education in America is standardizing, segregationist, discriminatory, and dehumanizing.

It does not seek to recognize and respect the gifts and talents all children possess but instead seeks to normalize the population to the ignorance that maintains the complacency of the American people towards participating in the governance of this nation.

It is easy to convince Americans that we need more money to educate America’s children when we are concentrated on addressing the harmful policies and procedures that attack rather than attract them.

The majority of America’s education budget is spent on Higher Education, providing adults with the resources necessary to pass college entrance exams and take remedial college courses in order to gain entry into the low income job market that pays less than the social programs offered by the government.

Our first responsibility, as a nation, is the welfare of our nation’s children.

We have enough money, both state and federally, to provide every child in America with a free and public education that is developmentally appropriate, Arts based, and experiential. An education that concentrates on discovering, developing, and directing their individual gifts and talents towards becoming knowledgeable, actively engaged citizens.

Our children deserve to be educated in their neighborhoods by dedicated, knowledgeable adults that recognize and respect the gifts and talents of everyone in the school community.

When we provide every child in America with an excellent there will no longer be a need to fund higher education, colleges and universities will be recruiting the best and brightest students America has to offer.
