Humanitarianism Or Capitalism

Human: Of, relating to, or affecting people.

Humanity: The quality or state of being human; the quality or state of being kind to other people or to animals; all people.

Humanitarianism: A person who works to make other people’s lives better.

Capitalist: A (human) who has a lot of money, property, etc., and who uses those things to produce more money; a (human) who believes that capitalism is the best kind of economic system

Capitalism: A way of organizing an economy so that the things that are used to make and transport products (such as land, oil, factories, ships, etc.) are owned by individual people and companies rather than by the government.

There is a difference in the ideals of a humanitarian and a capitalist. Their life’s objectives do not follow the same path nor do they have the same goals.

Currently, capitalists are organizing the policies and procedures of our Federal, State, and Local systems of education so that things they are using to produce more money are our children.

Last night the Rochester Teacher’s Association welcomed Institute for Humane Education President Zoe Weil, to speak to its educators about the goal of education. On Saturday, November 22, 2014, from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Ms. Weil will be conducting a professional development workshop where ducators will learn how to bring global ethical issues into the classroom through innovative activities and approaches that enable their students to become conscientious change-makers and effective problem solvers for a more humane, peaceable, and healthy world.”

Currently, higher education institutes are being forced to train teachers to teach to and administer the standardized tests that students, parents, and students are protesting.

Our children are human beings and their quality, their very state of being human is being controlled by capitalists whose only purpose is to make money.

We must change the language of education so that it concentrates on discovering, developing, and directing the gifts and talents of all of America’s children.

Our children deserve to be human, educated by humanitarians, with the intent of increasing the humanity in everyone.
