Thank You

On this Veterans Day, thank you to all who entered the military believing that they were giving their life to protect the ideals and ideas of America, freedom and justice for all.

It is time that America live up to the promise made to its military personnel, to be the peace keepers of the world and provide those less fortunate with the opportunity to immigrate to the United States, become Americans, and be protected from the injustices suffered in their own countries.

When we change the system of education so that it concentrates on discovering, developing, and directing the gifts and talents of all of America’s children, we will begin to grow leaders who know and understand that the only way to bring peace to the world is by ending the hate that exists between people and replacing it with respect.

It becomes incumbent upon all of us who have been given so much, to give back to those who have so little.

Our military must be in the service of those who live in dehumanizing conditions. They must protect the children of those who live under the control of hate filled leaders while building homes, schools, and hospitals, helping local citizens move safely through the streets of their towns and villages.

When we become the peacemakers of the world, our military personnel can return home, proud of the work they’ve accomplished in helping, not hunting other human beings.

The same corporate influence driving the military machine is now at the helm of our system of education.

The corporate goal is to profit from the hate and discontent that separates us and destroys our ability to love one another and make this world a better place for everyone.

It is time to place people ahead of profits and begin to humanely educate our children so that they are confident in their abilities and proud of their contributions to the world and its improvement.

It is time we give our military personnel the same opportunity to be proud of their choice to defend America.
